Quick fundraising idea
This was a fundraising idea mentioned to me by my EMT instructor. I suppose this works particularly well if you run EMS.
He says at his ambulance corps, he'll take the address of the patient and mail them a survey. (very quick. were we prompt? did we provide adequate service? etc.) Often, coincidentally, not only will the survey come back, but it might come back with a check. what a surprise!
1. Just thought I'd share this with all of you.
2. Thought I'd defer to the folks on here whose wisdom far surpasses mine in these areas. Do you guys think that this violates any regulations? (HIPPA particularly) Since this was told to me by someone who is teaching new EMTs I would assume not, but it couldn't hurt to ask you folks on here.

My department(we run fire, rescue and ems) sends out a mailer to everyone in the borough once a year. Many come back with lots and lots of money. So, if it's illegal in anyway, we've been breaking the law for a long time.
