Car Vs. Powerlines- What Would You Do?


I'm not sure of the background to this incident, but it has been around the internet for some time.

If confronted with this scene and there was a person still in the vehicle, how would you make the scene safe and how would you extricate?

Tim, I missed this one too originally. Sorry. We have established that chain should be a minimum of 3/8" for rescue here in North Carolina. This standard was initiated about 2000. Most hydro rescue tools still use 1/2". I have heard that the rigging industry is fazing out the grade 80. Even though it has some perticular heat treatment benefits in hot manufacturing. Going to be 100 and 120 as you have said here. Take care. Jim
