i havn't seen a big fire yet, thankfully. but i do remember my first call i responded to. some guy was trying to tow a dump truck with is F-150 and managed to tip the dump truck across both lanes of the road. looked like some big kid just droped it there. my first phrase, and one iv use frequently since, was "well, you dont see that every day!" no one was hurt. tcss
True but now days you see all kind of wierd stuff
Mine was a fatal fire before I completed my basic training. I directed traffic then became the water officer as more trucks came in to assist in a water shuttle then I helped with overhaul. It was a trailer with other rooms built around it & a wooden roof built over it. The fire was between the two roofs & between the trailer & the wood surrounding it. The occupant died. He was filling a kerosene heater and spilled it on the carpeted floor.
Mine was a fatal fire. A two story house, when I got on the sence the chief was calling for a 2 1/2 at the front door.
we had to dpt's there with use.
