Read a article about a guy who called 911 and was going to commit suicide . He had swallowed some nitroglycerin pills and was slamming himself against the walls trying to cause an explosion . Has any one else got any weird stories like that ?
The guy who tried to kill a rat by filling his toilet with gasoline, then throwing the creature in and striking a match... He wound up with a new toilet, new bathroom curtains and paint job... and unless I'm very much mistaken, new medications.
Had a guy who was convinced that he was going to be abducted by aliens. Repeat caller that was trying the patience of the 911 dispatchers. Finally they asked him if he had any tinfoil. He didn't but called back later to say that he found some. They had him wrap himself and face towards the North with his aluminum foil wrapped arms being held straight out at his sides. This disrupted the energy beams and enabled the guy to feel safe. We are givers...
There was a guy who was on a local bridge and was going to jump and kill him self.
The fire department, ems and police showed up and blocked the bridge for three hours this guy stood there.
Next thing you know he gets down and starts walking up the street. The cops ask him where he thinks he is going and he said I changed my mind I want a six pack instead.
Maybe he was stressing about killing himself that his BP was sky high worring about how he was going to do it..In the long run saved himself from a stoke..lol
Speaking of dispatchers, many years ago there was a case where 911 received a call from someone who couldn't speak English. A hasty search for an interpreter ensued, and it turned out the caller's son had pee'd into a lamp socket.
Neither the son nor lamp socket were harmed in the event, as later determined by the engine company sent to check things out.
OUCH! That reminds me off the time when I was about 7 years old and the older kids told me that if you peed on an electric fence that it would make sparks. It hurts just thinking about it! 35 years later, I'm much smarter and wiser. Stay safe!
