OK... I feel stupid on this one!

I had a "Probie" ask me if there was a standarized or expected list of personnal gear he should keep in his locker I pondered for a few and then said to myself No... .(our Dept has no such S.O.G.)

We as FF's just keep what we feel we ourselves feel we need. But I had just read about the FDNY issues, and Barre City VT as well as the sad story about an LODD where the personnal effects of a FF gave his familly insite into unknown aspects of the individual life. So I thought maybe there should be a some unwritten list to standardize to a point, if for no other reason than just to guide the newbie

Any thoughts... What would you say
