i have been a volunteer firefighter for almost three years now. every meeting i train my butt off so when my pager goes off ill know what am doing to some degree i know im no hotshot but i just mainly want to help those in my community and my guys at my department. but for the past three years everytime we have a structure fire im either at school or work. it is very frustrating to work your butt off for nothing but i dont know how much more i can take as far as not getting to go fires. for three years i have not been at one single structure fire. for instance we had one tonight and our department made a quick attack and saved most of the house. way to go LRVFD like always we are the best it just sucks i never get to help. i dont need a reply unless yall are bored it just needs to get off my chest. yall be safe out there.

Well if you are down because you aren't running any fires than go somewhere else that runs a lot more fires. It is all about timing the more time you are there the more fires you'll get. Don't get discouraged just be patient it will happen.
