Ok I thought fire trucks were red! I knew some were yellow/green but, now I've seen a blue one. Are there any other colors out there that I still don't know about? The pictures that I've gotten so far are amazing and there is alot of arguements going on about which color is better. Any one want to figure out which one is more popular? LOL

Jack D is made in Tn not Ky....you are probably thinking about Jim Beam from Ky
Oh my goodness, I can see the fluorescent red being helpful in the safety issue. I am one that thinks fire trucks are red (the human kind) with gold leaf letters and a gold reflective stripe. In the age of everyone wanting to be different and say hey look at me, I guess no color in the rainbow is immune from messing up a good fire truck.
I have to agree with you that yellow rocks and red sucks. All of the apparatus that we have are yellow with white stripes or white with yellow strips. You can check them out @ http://www.evanscenterfire.com/Apparatus.htm Sorry about the old web site; we are having trouble with it. Hopefully it will be fixed soon. We also have a new initial attack pumper that is also yellow with whit stripes.
grapevile kentucky has purple!

a fire truck is supposed to be red
Yes....we have had this discussion with our neighboring departments...ours are all yellow....We don't argue....we just say yes, red trucks get you to the fire....but you call the yellow ones to put it out....LOL.... Stay safe......Keep the faith Brother..................Paul

I know there is trucks out all colors my company is white over yellow with a blue stripe but we all kinds in our county we got white with red strip, white over green, lime green, dark green, yellow, and some dark red and the trad. red. but i have seen some black the Jack Daniels Plant in TN and a Vol. Co in the mid west somewhere can't think of where, purple think in PA, orange alot in PA some in MD, dark blue, baby blue in (TARHEEL COUNTRY NC.). Seen some pics. of some older trucks two tone brown don't know where they from. They are everywhere every size shape and color. To me it don't matter what color they are as long as they can do the task. hope it helps.
