Remember our fallen wildland brothers and sisters
While most "leather heads" do not enjoy wildland fire, we must still respect and remember that our brothers and sisters are out there, "one foot in the black". The 2008 fire season has claimed 21 lives so far, and it is only August 8th! In the last 2 weeks, our community has seen 11 LODDs of our brothers in No. California. it hits close to home where i work because im a dispatcher for wildland firefighters in Arkansas. i hate to hear about one dying or has dead in the line of work. we have had some close calls in the last two months. my prayers are with them all.
