Why I Joined Fire/EMS

My uncle was like an idol to me and, while growing up with him at the Townline Volunteer Fire Dept. in Lancaster NY. It was always an intriguing thought to become a fire rescue personnel. After starting off as an explorer more windows opened, EMS, Hook and Ladder, Extrication Tech., ect. Well now i am a volunteer for the County of Hamblen Rescue Squad. and also an explorer for the City of Morristown.

The guy next to you and what it is that you all stand for. its not the glory, its not the honor its just another job.
