Why I Joined Fire/EMS

I felt a need to assist my volunteer fire department protect life and property in our 51 square mile district.
I joined to be a truck driver, but I have been so involved I now operate any of our 13 trucks and was appointed Assistant Fire Chief. I love the comradery.
