About Me:: I have been serving those in emergency settings for the last 11 years , more on the dispatch ,operator end of it. We handle various seasons, such as rainstorm, firestorm, windstorm, and heat storm situations. I love working to help in public

Why I Joined Fire/EMS: I am 49 and am pursuing a career in medical field , aside from working fulltime. Kids are grown and its time I pursue my 2nd part of my life with a career God has placed upon me. I have been told, ( and I knew this) I am way too old for the fire department!
But, am venturing into possibly dispatch , definately volunteering, EMT training, C.E.R.T., and the safety training field in my current line of work. I am christian and was happy to know there was a site like this!

As for the snow, I am so tired of it that I hate going outside! I wish I could say it was a chilly 74 degrees here. Would you believe that the temperature today is -27!!! Exposed Skin freezes in less than five minutes. I have no place left to pile the snow from my driveway and it's still falling. Stay safe out there and again, good luck with your studies!
