About Me:
Currently, I am the Coordinator of my area’s CERT team, called HEART (Hoodland Emergency Action Response Team).
I am an instructor of the CERT Emergency Preparedness and Disaster Readiness training course in cooperation with the five-area fire districts which consists of Sandy, Boring, Estacada, Hoodland, and Corbett. I instruct the Terrorism Awareness portion of the CERT training. I also plan, and am one of the proctors of our area’s CERT finals every year. I assisted in the Construction of a systematic CERT final standards and principles.
Director of the Neighborhood Emergency Preparedness & Watch program in my neighborhood. I feel this is a direct opportunity to apply my CERT training to help my neighborhood. I have also incorporated my Neighborhood Watch training with my CERT Terrorism Awareness instruction. I feel these two topics are greatly related.
My experience includes planning exercises with the fire districts and the law enforcement agencies with disaster preparedness, Terrorism Awareness and Neighborhood Preparedness and Watch.
My most valuable attributes are that I am very enthusiastic in the Emergency Management field and I am a very organized person. I have a great many deadlines and obligations to fulfill and do so with much enthusiasm. I love the field of Emergency Management and enjoy helping my family, my neighborhood, and my community in being prepared in the event of any kind of an emergency.
