Why I Joined Fire/EMS

My father was a firefighter for both the city of Ft. Lauderdale (7 years) and the city of Ocala (28 years), he put 35 years on the job between the two. I always thought he had a great job and after serving 24 years in it myself it is still the greatest job in the world.

The variety, each shift & call brings something different.
