Why I Joined Fire/EMS

I was initially recruited as a firefighter which led to EMT training and membership in a heavy Rescue Squad. I continued with EMT-Paramedic training and worked full-time as a Medic while going to college. Decided to pursue medical school and completed trainin in General Surgery, Cardiothoracic Surgery. I have worked as an Emergency Physician for the past 16 years.
