Why I Joined Fire/EMS

I was a part of the junior program at my department for several years before becoming a full member. My dad and uncle have been in the fire services most of their lives and I guess that it just carried on to me. Im glad it did because I love every minute of it.

Why I Love Fire/EMS

helping others and the adrenaline rush

Top Issues Facing Responders:

getting younger people involved. You have to show others how to operate and get them interested. Also that things in the fire service have changed dramatically over the years and that it is crucial for your department to not be stuck in their ways and to take part in that change.
