My Training:: I am certified first responder and im certified in cpr and first aid. I am now a certified fire fighter!!!

About Me:: Im 20 years old and live in a small town that i truly love. Im not normal but thats me. I love to play in the mud and get dirty but I sometimes like to dress up a lil. I love animals and my family is everything to me. I go to NETC as of right now to get my Associates in Science to get my RN. I also plan on going for my FirefigherII and Paramedic.

Why I Joined Fire/EMS: Well i have been around firefighting all my life. I grew up in the station. I have enjoyed running class with my dad for as long a I can remember. I grew up in a small town so by the time I was able to join the department I had so many dads it is not even funny!

Why I Love Fire/EMS: Because it is a rewarding position where you can possible save a life that truly needs you!

Looks like we are from about the same background. Hope everything works out for you like it did for me. you just have to continue to be assertive and show the guys all the benefits of a female on the dept. My guys admit now that they wouldn't ever go without having one on. There are a lot of things we can do easier than they can. You just have to be willing to make them realize it.
