I was on the Machias Fire Department for one semester while I was taking classes at UMM.

My Training:

Firefighter I and II. S-130 and S-190 (wildland fire). Crew Boss (wildland fire). First Aid, CPR.

About Me:

A lot of people look at me and say "are you really a firefighter?".. I just smile and nod. I'm 4'11" and 98 lbs soaking wet. I'm going on my 5th (maybe 6th) year of college for Marine Biology with a concentration of Mariculture (marine fish farming). I'm engaged and hopefully getting married after I graduate.

Scientific Technician at the Center for Cooperative Aquaculture Research

Why I Joined Fire/EMS

Both my parents are in the fire service. I've grown up around the fire house and it makes me feel good that I can be a role model and make a difference.
