The Griffith Road Volunteer Fire Department was chartered in 1986. It is an all-volunteer organization of nearly 40 men and women under the direction of Fire Chief Ron Richardson. The department utilizes volunteer forces standing ready to serve the community. Our fire/EMS services cover 20 square miles in the eastern part of Union County. Our department responds to approximately 200 emergencies per year . Our volunteers are mighty proud to be apart of the department. We strive to make a difference in our community and surrounding areas. We hold different fundraisers throughout the year one being our BBQ buffet once a year. We currently maintain one fire station, which runs a Pierce Engine, a GMC Rescue/Pumper, and a GMC Brush/Support Unit.
