About Me:
There is nothing that I love more than being a firefighter and EMT-Basic. I love takeing care of people that are hurt orsick or scared and reasureing them. It is a very good feeling to do a good job and to have the patients and fammily thanking you. I had it taken away from me last year. The tyranical ambulance board members used my back injury against me to get rid of me completely.
I love my fire department. There is nothing that I love more now that I dont have my emt job. We are a very small department with barely any money to operate on and barely any public support. No matter how hard we try or what we do it never seems to be enough.
It really seems that nobody cares about any of my firefighters.
I dont even think anybody even cares or realizes the accident that happened to me while in the service to this town and what that accident has done to my life. It has been a very long five years since the accident.
Day Job:
welder /carpenter/mechanic
Relationship Status:
Married
Why I Joined Fire/EMS
I like to help people and help protect the people I care about.
Why I Love Fire/EMS
helping and protecting people, doing it for no other reason than to just do it because I love to help others
Top Issues Facing Responders:
There is absolutely nothing in the way of help or benifits or even anyone that seems to care about what happens to a volunteer firefighter after a dibilitating injury. When they are perminently disabled all that they get is looked at as being fools for volunteering in the first place.
