About Me:
I love Nascar and would love to be able to drive the track one day (at least a lap or two). I also love being on and around water. My family teases me that I couldn't survive without seeing water at least once a day. I'm blessed that I live only 3 miles away from the nearest river. I am very close and protective of my Dad and love to spend as much time as I can with him.

Why I Joined Fire/EMS
One year before we started a fire/ems service in our community, my father had a massive stroke while he was sitting at the local hangout that all of the waterman gathered at daily. Not knowing what to do and knowing that the closest medical help was 20-25 minutes out at best made me feel totally helpless. After learning at the hospital what could have slowed down the effects of the stroke, I made up my mind then that I would do whatever was necessary to never be in that "helpless" situation again. One year and six months later I became a BLS provider and right afterwards; a firefighter. Myself and another woman are the only two females firefighters in our 30+ member dept.
Why I Love Fire/EMS
Having the ability to help someone in need.
Top Issues Facing Responders:
Replacing/Updating equipment. Funding for all types of training for both paid and volunteer.
Hey Deb,
Thanks for the sweet comment. Yes it is still taking a lot of time and effort and is not completed yet, but I will not stop until it is done. I will definalty let everyone on here know when it is and the color schemes of the car.
