Woodburn Volunteer Fire Department
This one of 9 small volunteer departments that surround the city of Bowling Green, Kentucky. The department has two stations.

About Me:

I began my career with the Bowling Green Fire Department in December of 1979. I was promoted to Captain in 1993. I was forced to retire in 2006 due to a city age requirement (57). I did not want to retire. I spent the last two years of my career in the Training Division. I would like to have stayed with the suppression division. My thoughts were that I might be able to assist the department in moving forward with the truck/engine company operations on the fire ground. Needless to say, I should have remained with suppression. I now instruct for the Kentucky State Fire Rescue Program.
