About Me:
Alright So I started when I was in my senior year in high school in a small company in central PA. I then moved to Pittsburgh to get my paramedic (unsuccessful) and signed on with a great volunteer department in Monroeville (#6) . I worked for a private EMS agency in the Metro area for the 4 years. In July of 2007, my wife and I made the horrible decision of moving to Charlotte, NC. My heart in still in Pittsburgh and can't wait to get back. We are saving up to move back, sometime soon.
Day Job:
Right noww I work in the medical Department of the Siemens Power Generatoer Plant
Relationship Status:

Why I Joined Fire/EMS
1) I like helping people (cliche)
2) I like being part of the brotherhood , a serivce that is unique that not alot of people do.
3) Cause I have ADHD and this is probably the only service I can work in and not get bored.

Top Issues Facing Responders:
There is a lot of Bickering between Volunteer departments. We are here to do the same job. There should be no reason why we can't all function in a professional manner.
Career Fire department seem to look down on Volunteers.
There are some volunteer Firefighters, tend to be overly enthusiastic and put like fifty million lights on there cars, wears thirty pagers, radios and scanners, fire decals all over there cars, bragg about stories all the time and speak too loud so everybody can hear. you get my point. In PA we call these People "Whackers" , They generally give the fire service a bad name, some aren't to bad, but there are some that will abuse privilages afforded to us that are used to help the community, for there own personal gain.
