I think everyone is looking at the wrong thing. The chief is warning about the fire blowing out the door. Thier is no reason to get that close to the fire. That is why the nozzles are designed to have a 50 foot reach. What really worries me is the fan near the door. This fire is a long way from needing PPV !!!!

My first impressions and first comment as a member. (hoping not to offend)
There is no reason to be this close to a working fire not wearing FULL PPE with SCBA. The persons with no respiratory protection are breathing toxic air. (even IF it is only a little) Radios are a great way to communicate. How can you see the full picture when you are this close? It seems that you have to trust your firefighters and let them do their job.

Hopefully, Chief ain't going in, helmet and coat just for ID (I hope!) PPV blade visible, so I'm guessing it's not running yet. Looks like agood start on interior attack to me. Let's see the next photos!

Chief CHAOS setting a positive example for his firefighters!! With this kind of leadership at the helm, I'm really concerned whether that PPV fan will be used in the correct manner. Stay safe out there, and God Bless America.
