Hello fellow dispatchers, I am looking for some assistance. I am working for a department that only recently separated Police from Fire / EMS dispatch and at this time they have not developed any Standard of Operating Policies or Procedures. If anyone out there that dispatches Fire, EMS, or both is able to share any established Policies and Procedures for us to use as a guideline in developing our own, I would greatly appreciate it. Hello fellow dispatchers. I currently work in a small county in NC as a 911 dispatcher for police,fire, and ems. I recently moved here from Orange county NY where I was also a 911 dispatcher for that county. I miss the call volume I had in NY, but at the same time enjoying not being franticly busy. I was also a volunteer fire fighter in NY for 12 years. If anyone knows a good chat site for dispatchers could you let me know. It gets a little boring on the midnights so I'm always looking for fellow dispatchers to talk to.

Just to tell you a little bit about me and I hope I learn about all of you. My name is Nikki Saunders 34 and I live in Roundup,MT. I dispatch for Bull Mountain Vol. Fire Dept. I've been there for almost 9 years. I recently got my "dream Job" dispatching for the Sheriff's Office here in Roundup. I've been trying for 3 years and I finally got it. I have been there since the end of August and I love it.
I have 2 kids my boy is going to be 15 the end of January and my girl will be 13 in March. My husband is Assistant Chief for Bull Mtn.
