My volunteer department just took delivery of a 2007 ALF/LTI midmount 100' tower today. I won't lie I was a little sceptical at first but in less than an hr after its arrival I believe it will be a great addition to our station. The tower is replacing our '06 Sutphen Shield 2 engine and our '92 Peirce Lance 105' stick. Pictures should be posted to our company website shortly. www.pennsburgfireco.com check it out!!!

Yes,and recently they are filling the rest of the order for the Buffalo Fire Department, that they had to bail on during the down sizing..hopefully they can comeback and compete, soon. An I remember the 1st Pheonix Mid-Engine Pumper, like it was yesterday...Since i detailed it back in 2006 @ the old alf Hamburg NY shop. :)

looks like AMERICAN LAFRANCE  is making a comback with more and more plants on line and large orders for trucks in Pheonix Az and other trucks on order I think thats good because it is a solid truck and with the body being built out of stainless steel the trucks should last a life time! Hopefully they can compete with the other manufactures to get more on the market. Some of the compation Is way over priced for all the bells and whistles.

My fire department Milton Engine Co. No.1 (Milton Ulster County, N.Y.) owns a 2006 American LaFrance Eagle Pumper-Tanker. This truck has a Detroit Series 60 Diesel Engine rated at 515 hp, coupled to an Allison 400 EVS transmission. The truck also has a Hale QMAX 2,000 gpm pump, and carries 2,500 gals. of water.
