Buffalo Firefighters responded last night at 2342 Hrs for a report of a structure fire on Jefferson Ave.
Engine 21 went on location with fire showing from a large commercial building. B-56 reported fire on the 2nd floor of a 2 story 40x60 commercial building, & further reported the 2nd floor full of tires, requested an additional 2 & 1 (E33, E37, L5) and ordered all crews out out of the building for defensive operations.
The fire was under control in 93 minutes.

The Sirens were used as an evacuation signal to all units to exit the structure - thus setting up for a Defensive( exterior ) attack.

are the sirens a mayday? or is that another unit pulling up?
