Moving to Tennessee...joining a new department

I was wondering if anyone on here was from the Nashville area or the
surrounding counties and could provide me some names and information of
Volunteer Fire Departments? My parents are looking to move to the Nashville area and my father will be looking to join a new Fire Department when they move.
Any help would be greatly appreciated and Thank You for you time!

I'm in Clarksville/Montgomery County about 45 minutes North of Nashville on I24. Lots of people live here and commute to Nashville for work due to the fact that it's WAY cheaper to live here than Nashville. We have 6 volunteer departments/stations which all fall under the umbrella of the Montgomery County Volunteer Fire Service and between us we cover everything that falls outside the city of Clarksville within Mongtomgery County.

We're a well equipped department compared to many rural volunteer departments and our firefighters are a truly great group of people. I'll post some info regarding other departments in the area shortly.

The city of Springfield is very close to Nashville (20 to 30 minutes) and has a combination department. http://www.springfield-tn.org/Fire/index.html#general.

There are also several volunteer departments in Dickson County which is very close to nashville. http://firedepartmentdirectory.com/location/County-Fire-Departments...

WhiteHouse TN has a combination Paid/Paid on Call department http://www.cityofwhitehouse.com/index.aspx?nid=87

These are just a few, there are many other areas. If you get a better idea of where around Nashville you'll be moving let me know and I can give you the names of some cities/counties close to there.
