MLB and how they see 9/11
okay all my first responder friends (including all ff's, emt's, police) ...
i received an email today with the subject
"Welcome Back Veterans this September 11th"

i have to say that i am appalled that MajorLeagueBaseball (MLB) has taken such a hallowed day from our country’s first responders and made it about the armed forces.
i'm not saying i would like to have anything from them for free, but it upsets me that they would totally discount the true purpose and meaning of 9/11 to push their marketing schemes.

Personally, I don't have an issue here. I looked at the link and this looks like an on-going thing, not just a Sept. 11th thing. Today also is Patriot's Day and there were also military members who also died on 9/11, so in a sense today is also about the military. I see no reason to try and distinguish between the service and sacrifices of either firefighters, police, EMT's, and military. All played an integral part in Sept. 11, 2001.
