quis2 - Columbia, SC 7-5-2012. Columbia Fire Department(3rd Shift) 2-Alarm Auto Body Shop Fire, W. Beltline Blvd. The first-in company found heavy smoke conditions upon arrival. Multiple vehicles were burning inside the structure. A quick knockdown was made by the first alarm units.

California House Fire First-Due Action

Scion142 - There was a house fire in a neighborhood in Sunland, California. I just happen to live right across the street! The homeowners were not home when the fire broke out in the attic. Firefighters from the City of Los Angeles arrived on scene and extinguished the blaze. The house was badly damaged. Luckily, no one was hurt and the homeowner has fire insurance. PLEASE NOTE: This video has been annotated to provide more accurate information regarding the timing of events.

Engine company stretches in on a basement fire, WHITEHALL PA

1550 hours: Whitehall FD responds to 3231 South 6th Avenue for a house fire. Engines 4, 14, 3, tower ladder 6 and Chief 35 (R. Benner) take in the box. On arrival, Chief 35 has smoke from a S/F/D with a fire in the basement. Engine 4 arrives and stretches one line into the basement. The Electrical meter was pulled outside because the panel inside failed.

Crews knocked down the small fire and vented. The box was held to the first alarm assignments.

Chief Officer uses garden hose waiting for companies to arrive

At 2136 hours Coplay Engine 5 and a Whitehall Engine (E4) respond to a car fire at 39 N. 3rd Street. Police arrive and find a car with a engine compartment fire. Neighbors pull a garden hose on it and deputy chief 35 (Shambo) assist with the garden hose until the companies arrive.
