They arrived on O'Connnor St to find heavy fire showing from floor three of the three story wood frame structure. Command requested an additional ladder and engine to the scene before calling a second alarm as fire quickly spread through the home. Firefighters were only in the building for a short amount of time before everyone was called out of the structure for defensive operations. At that time, fire was visible from the second floor, third floor, and through the roof. Four ladder trucks were in operation as well as several hand lines. It took about an hour before the flames were knocked down. At least one tenant of the home was being treated on scene with unknown injuries. There was no word of any other injuries as of 5:30am.

This all came while crews were still cleaning up on scene of an earlier working fire in a garage on Smith Street.

Posted April 21, 2011. A second alarm was called shortly after companies arrived on scene to find a fully involved structure on Dean Avenue near Dean College. Quickly, the fire had reached 5 alarms with around 100 firefighters on scene, many on mutual aid from surrounding communities. At one point, at least 5 ladder companies were set up around the building, all soaking the fire from above while crews also worked on the ground to protect exposures. Smoke billowed through the area into the daylight hours. No injuries were reported as of early Friday morning.
Posted April 15, 2011. The company involved was Hi-Q Environmental Products Company at 7386 Trade Street, San Diego, CA 92121. There were flames through the roof upon SDFD's arrival. The fire damaged at least two businesses. I was unofficially told (well after the incident) that the source of the fire had to do with a Ford F150 that was parked inside the building. Just FYI, on incidents like this I usually continue to roll video even through my scene changes and adjustments on a-lot of shots. Also note that this video was originally shot in 16x9 on my Panasonic AJ-SPX800P.
Posted October 4, 2010.
