City of Allentown, PA-- Allentown authorities this afternoon said emergency crews have recovered four of five victims killed Wednesday night in a massive explosion that destroyed eight homes and damaged nearly four dozen others.

Two of the dead have been identified by family as William Hall, 79, and his wife, Beatrice Hall, 74. The other victims are a 69-year-old woman, a 16-year-old girl and a 4-month-old boy, authorities said during an afternoon news conference.

The Allentown explosion victims who lived at 542 N. 13th St. were a grandmother, her granddaughter and her infant great-grandson, city Councilman Julio Guridy said in a phone interview after the news conference.

Butler Cnty. (KS) Structure Fire

Butler County Fire District # 3 (Rose Hill Fire) responding to a residential structure fire on March 11, 2010 at 12:30am. The house was located in the rural area of Butler County near Rose Hill, Kansas. The drive from the fire station in Rose Hill to the fire was 6.5 miles. Responding mutual aid fire departments were: Andover Fire Rescue, Andover, KS, Butler County Fire District # 8, Douglass, KS and Augusta Department of Public Safety, Augusta, KS.

Milford (MA) 3-Alarm Fire

Milford MA FD responded to this fire in an occupied apartment building in the early afternoon hours of March 25, 2010. Companies arrived with heavy fire conditions and occupants trapped. A second and subsequently 3rd alarm with additional special calls transmitted. Firefighters were ordered out of the building and operations went defensive.

Clearwater (FL) 2-Alarm Fire

Clearwater Fire & Rescue responded to a fire alarm at the above listed
location at 3:24 a.m. Upon arrival firefighters saw smoke and flames coming
from the rear of the building and the incident was upgraded to a working fire.

Firefighters were alerted by 911 that a woman was trapped inside of her
apartment (#104) and could not get out. Her unit is located adjacent to the
lobby/common area where the fire originated. Firefighters quickly located the
woman, who is wheelchair-bound, and carried her out of a window with a ground
ladder. She and four other patients were transported to a local hospital with
non-life threatening injuries.

Firefighters assisted with the evacuation of several other residents. A total
of 41 residents were evacuated from the building. Due to the cold
temperatures, the residents were transported to a nearby building at 1318
Pierce Street. Sunstar assisted with transporting some residents who needed
assistance.

First-floor residents are not being permitted back into their apartments at
this time, due to fire and smoke damage. All second-, third- and fourth-floor
residents were allowed to return to their homes.

The two-alarm fire was brought under control within 15 minutes. Fifteen fire
units responded, with a total of 60 firefighters. There is no estimate damage
available at this time. The fire is suspicious in nature.
