House Fire Close Call / FCII Helmet Camera

This is job we had where as you will see in the video, it could have been very bad for the firefighters if they entered the house. There has been several incidents lately of firefighters falling thru floors, so when I reviewed the footage I put this video together for all of us and mostly probies. It was 2 a.m. and after being barely awake, I'm just glad I noticed the floor. If this helps anyone else out, that's great. In the beginning, the lighting is really low, There were no street lights or anything, but it will light up! SUV Rollover with one trapped FC II Helmet Camera

BLOOMINGTON, MD -- On 12/16/2008 in
the afternoon hours, Allegany County
dispatched an MVC on Route 135 west of
Bloomington, MD on Backbone Mountain.
Engine Company 36(Bloomington VFD),
Squad 22 (Potomac Fire Company of
Westernport, MD), and EMS 50 (Tri-Towns
EMS) were dispatched on the call. While
en route to the scene dispatched
advised Squad 22 that Maryland State
Police were on the scene confirming that
one subject was trapped in the vehicle.
Squad 22 arrived on the scene to find a
single vehicle accident, a SUV on it's side
in a ditch. The driver was injured and still
trapped inside the vehicle. The squad
crew removed both passenger side
doors, the "B" Post, Cut the "A" Post,
used a Saws All to cut the windshield and
the roof to flap the roof back.

The victim was removed, packaged, and transported to a local trauma center by the ambulance. The video
has a dash camera mounted in the front of Squad 22, a mounted camera in the walk in box to observe the
crew getting ready, and the new FCII Helmet Camera view of the extrication.
