September 8, 2009. On Tuesday September 8th, 2009, (17) units from the Charlotte Fire Department including (7) Engines, (2) Ladders, (1) Heavy Rescue, (3) Battalion Chiefs, (1) Deputy Chief, and (3) Fire Investigators responded to a reported structure fire at 6812 Rea Croft Drive in south Charlotte. First alarm companies were dispatched at 1:03 pm: Firefighters from nearby station 24 were first to arrive at 1:09 pm and reported heavy fire and smoke showing from the ‘B’ division (left side) of an approximately 3000 – 4000 square foot 2-Story home. Catasauqua 2nd Alarm House Fire

In the afternoon hours of Sunday August 9,2009 Catty station 2 was hit for the house fire at the corner of 14th and Race sts. Command arrived onscene and quickly struck a second alarm for the well involved first floor. NVP was on of the first camera crews onscene and captured the fire from before the initial attack was made until it was knocked down.

7/25/09 - Second Alarm - 253 Pine Circle, Walnutport, PA

Walnutport Station 29 was dispatched to a hair dryer on fire at 253 Pine Circle at 2250 hours. Slatington (24) and Lehigh Twp (47) also were on the ticket for the first alarm.

Chief 29 (Kirchner) arrived minutes later and signaled a working fire in the living room of a one-story single-family dwelling (S/F/D). Quint 29 arrived and stretched a handline to the living room and knocked down the fire there and in the bedroom. Chief 29 struck the second-alarm as the fire extended into the cockloft. Minutes later the fire vented through the roof. The fire was contained and under control within 30 minutes and the companies wasted no time taking-up.

The second alarm brought in Slatington and Lehigh Twp for a full response along with Palmerton's Tower Ladder.
