Though initally designed to direct serach and rescue teams anywhere in the world to the locations of persons who may be adrift at sea or lost in a forest or some other area that is distant from civilization, I can see other applications for this device including it's use as tracking device to locate abducted children and adults.

A freight train with 118 cars smashes into a tractor-trailer that just missed clearing a dangerous crossing. Basically, people being stupid by trying to beat the train at railroad crossings, including HAZMAT truckers.

Responding to a chemical leak at an oil refinary and then driving back to their quarters at the end of the job.

Note that this HAZMAT truck is different in color and apperance from that in the previous videos.

(The video gets a little stupid towards the end when the character driving the truck pulls out a gun and stuff. It's helpful to keep in mind though that Grand Theft Auto is largely a shooter/role-playing type of game. All the other stuff involving the driving of ambulances, firetrucks, subway trains, public buses and etc are considered secondary or bonuses).

OSHA requires that anyone who will be working on hazardous waste sites (including Brownfields) must take the 40-HOUR HazWOPER Health and Safety for Hazardous Waste Operations course. The full 40-hour course is for anyone who may have to work in "Level C" PPE or above. Students will be introduced to OSHA 29 CFR 1910.120 and learn how to apply its requirements back at work. Emilcott uses lecture, field activities, group workshops and problem solving drills to cover course topics. The video shows the field drill where students apply classroom knowledge.

Confined Space Entry Rescue

While technical rescues such as freeing someone from the wreckage of an automobile, train or aircraft accident or building collapse is the usual province of Rescue teams, HAZMAT teams in some jurisdiction are trained and expected to perform confined/enclosed space rescues (though in some jurisdictions both the Rescue squad and the HAZMAT team may be trained to perform such rescues).

Operations in confined spaces are one of the most dangerous types of missions that a HAZMAT responder can undertake. It is a world filled with such dangers as toxic gases, combustable gases, oxygen deficincy and very tight and dark spaces. Temperatures in a confined space maybe extreme, ranging from very hot to very cold.

Confined spaces can be very unforgiving and even a single, simple mistake due to absent-mindedness or poor judgement can cost a life.
