If you watch closely the 2nd one in loses the regulator on the way in ,plus i cannot beleive that they did not spray water on the way in . they just crawled into the fire, something very wrong there.

As long as the 2 boys going in had thier gear properly donned, they probably had to change shorts, but man! No NASA types in that bunch. Ya know the chief was the dork with no pants on going in. Bust him down to a rookie... but, on the bright side...

if they have an open house next year you can bet the place will be packed! Just keep the ambo running.

WOW...We keep finding ways to put ourselves in bad positions. Great training tool.

Looks like a lack of leadership and planning I would have to say the officer in charged dropped the ball on setting up FF saftey on that one. Not to mention the FFer's should get the DARWIN award for doing that.

A sad comment on lack of training! Even sadder yet when you think that those firefighters were seriously injured!

The state actually gave us a cd/dvd with this and a few other Oh $#!% moments on it. We use it to show the rookies what not to do.

If you are going to do a live demo like that, I would hope you would use your most expierenced firefighters not rookies. Don't you want your fire department to look good. Avoidable training accident. And lets send the guy with no bunkers to get them out. Everyone should be in full turnout.
