Top Issues Facing Responders:
Increased training requirements has increased the time a ff has to commit to on top of the everyday pressures. Another big problem is recruitment and retention. Twenty two years ago when I entered the fire dept. there was a waiting list to get in. Now you hope you obtain a new member every six months to keep your roster 3/4 full.
