Why I Joined Fire/EMS

Having grown up around the fire service watching my father respond to calls at all hours of the day and night, I knew that I wanted to join. However, I had to wait to become a fire fighter/emt until after my oldest child was able to stay home at night with my youngest. Until that time I had been Auxiliary member, helping out in other ways.
