Had a dog in Riverview Fla. Looks just like her. She was increadable. You could hold a rock, throw it to the bottom of a river, she would jump in swim to the bottom and come up and bring it to you. I live know in Fort White. Have a good day
Hi - Thank you for the add! When the Wilmington Kennel Club presented the Animal O2 Masks we also gave the Delaware Arson K9 - Kelly (a yellow labrador) a single mask that was donated by HELP Animals Inc just in case her nose would ever get into anything bad. She was also our "willing" patient when we made the presentation to cover the whole State of DE.
The firefighters loved it and the media printed great photos of her with her vest, badge and the mask. Kelly is also a graduate of the Maine State Police Fire School and was sponsored by State Farm - her handler is Deputy State Fire Marshall Brian Scott Bullock. He gave us a demonstration of how she makes a "hit" - he let me hold her leash to see how intent she was on the mark....I could not move her off her spot - absolutely amazing. I tease him because I swim and do Obedience with my labs, Kelly does not particularly like the water.
As an outgrowth of her photo with the mask we had inquiries form K9 Handlers in Law Enforcement on how to acquire a single mask - I donated one to the Newark,
DE Police K9 - Paco, before Christmas and I received donations to cover another 8 dogs - we have over 65 in all units throughout the state so we will keep plugging along. Since they attach easily to a breather bag the Officer I worked with thought it would be a great item to carry in his emergency kit for Paco - a breather bag and the mask.
It is a tool he can use to assist his K9 in the event of emergency until they can get to a VMD. We are all in this together!!!
Hi Misty, thanks for the add in the name of DUNCAN, Rescue Specialist, and my congratulations for your good job for the Fire Investigators like me. Stay safe.
Okay. I am absolutely in love with your dog!! My choc lab passed in July and broke my heart. She was my soul mate. She had her CGC, CD, & pet therapy certs. She was the absolute eptome of perfection in my eyes. Hats off to you for search & rescue and your work with our four legged friends. Send pics ANY time. Just wish you lived closer so I could be her in person! Take care & good luck!
My lab's name is Marshland's Outlaw Josie Wales, He is 18 months old. He has several siblings who are currently search dogs, assist dogs, & law enforcement dogs. He is just your everyday Bird dog. Thank you for the add.
