Hey Joe, thought I'd say hello. My in-laws had a place in Mikado so your neck of the woods is familiar. Take care, be safe.

Hey Joe, I'm from Clinton Michigan near Ann Arbor. I also have a cabin near Gaylord. I'm trying to find more Michigan fire fighters.

I started reading "Responding" by supplee and after my initial shock, read your very insightful (and brief) statement. I liked it.

Stay safe and stay out of that guy's way. He's got a blue light.

Same here! Didn't have any calls at all (fire, ems or rescue) since Tuesday night... until this morning... a pediatric EMS @ 0530 and then a shed fire @ 1230. So I'm guessing it's time for the calls to pick up again!

Well then,I really don't like those kind of calls,20 miles from nothin no water within 5 miles. It was pretty much a goner when the first due got there allwe could do was cool it off and keep it out of the trees, last thing we need is a crown fire.It is bad dry here a RH is down around18%.We have alot of ground clutter from the ice storms last winter.Setting for a major wildfire with a spark in the wrong spot.So hows things there?
