I'm stationed at Thomas Drive No. 1. We are opening a new station in District 6, on the west end of the beach. There are plans to open the Youngstown/Bear Creek station in the future, but no time soon.

Hey what's up...things on my end are pretty steady. Nothing much as far as fire activities...just doing a couple of educational programs on prevention of fire. Other than that not much...I guess I would have to live in an area like Los Angeles to see more action. Hey! No they don't have me assigned to a specific task, only when it's the Logistics then they do. Well it's not bad just take it slow and it's okay to be nervous. I know I was when I first started driving, but eventually you will get the hang of it. My major problem still is when I back up and have to align the trailer with the freaking truck. We have to have it plugged in because of the radio's inside but it's still my hardest part lol. Well hopefully today isn't so busy for you all. Take care and be safe.

Hey you! What are you up to? Well just been chilling and working lol. Got to drive the logistics truck again, gonna go get my class "B" license, guess we have to have one now (since the truck has airbrakes). Tomorrow I have another assignment but only clerical and desk work :0( OH well guess gotta start somewhere right? lol. How are things going for you? How has the weather been? Thank you for saying all those wonderful things. It is hard to lose anyone that is like family and I am sorry to hear about your Chief. I was also looking at the current news in that Boston Fire. My prayers are going out to those who lost and for those FF that still are injured. It's been one of those weeks, but it's part of any career. I know there will be hard times but I still love what I do and I wouldn't give it up for anything in the world. Hope you have a wonderful day and be safe.

Well i am about an hour and a half from Orange County. I have been doing nothing as far as fire wise. I was suppose to work on some things for the Zaca fire that started in Santa Barbara but I guess they postponed. I do have to attend a funeral on Friday for a fallen FF. He was 46 yrs old and died of cancer on the 26th. I pray for his family and that he rest in peace. Aside from that nothing new.

for the small town that i live in we do stay pretty busy, we have abt 4,000 in our town, and we run abt 900 calls a year, yes more medical but we have are share of structure fires, we have had alot this year withe the ice storm we had in january but the last couple of month we have had a bout four structure fires and though im a girl i have got to go in to make frst entery 3 times int he last couple of months, i love and enjoy that i get a chance just like the men, and i am equal, well have a good day.
