Finally got a good call this weekend. It was not on the airprot, but I got called out with the regional Hazmat team I on. There was a tanke rollover on Vail Pass. We went inand had to off load 5,000 gal of fuel. The call took over 11 hours, because of how bad the tanker was crushed and the fact that it was about 200 ft down over the hill. I think I used about 5 SCBA bottles. I was totally spent at the end of the call, but it was fun. How's thing going for you?

Check out the some of the Groups, I have started up "Close Calls" an area to tell your story of what you did and should not of so others learn. "Roll Calls" this is another group that allows you to tell us about your station and district. "Trainers Corner" is another area that you can read about issues other trainers have or deal with. As well if your not a trainer you can ask questions or state concerns you have. If you have a hard time locating them just go to my site and look at the bottom left hand corner.
Ouch! Tuff to get beauty sleep when your out on a call at 0230. Being at the airport now, I miss getting MVA calls. Haven't run on one in a few years, other than the fuel tanker that rolled here this past winter. A big mess, with 800 gal of Jet A fuel all over the ramp, under several aircraft. And it was -15 F.
Thanks for the add. Good luck with getting the new building. We're getting one, too. The Borough Council bought part of an industrial building & decided to put the new firehouse attached to a plastics moulding building. Gonna be interesting if that building has a fire. lol

How's life??
Slow here, have not had a call in over a week, but that's how it goes at an airport.
