Jenny, where i can i find the following classes u listed in a post in Command Safety?? Fire Department Incident Safety Officer which is a good class for all firefighters to have. FIRE DEPARTMENT HEALTH & SAFETY OFFICER is a longer class that is more indepth. I can also HIGHLY RECOMMEND the Advanced Safety Operations Management from the National Fire Academy.
I am interrested in the classes u listed and would like to participate in a class like those u mentioned for my own knowledge as well as for the bennefit of the dept and my fellow team mates.. thank you.. John

Jenny:
Thanks for asking.
This time of year is pretty busy for me with my full time job.
Lots of data analysis to do for risk management.
I have been writing for another website (s) as well.
I will probably post a Thanksgiving piece. Jake and Vinnie will be on the way.
Have a great holiday season.
TCSS.

the only way we get around OSHA standards is were not an OSHA state, and with the whole NFPA were told that "were all safety officers watchin out for each others safety" which yes i know is true....... but when we are all busy we tend to miss things i know i have missed plenty, but there is just a whole lot of b/s floating around, but i guess i was just blowing off steam i don't ever expect anyone to read that but all input is good input
