Hey Sharon, glad that we are now friends. I used to be Director of Emergency Services, Civil Defense, specializing in Homeland Security. I agree, First Responder safety is the most important thing. I used to get into debates with Police and Fire, cause my motto was, at the end of the day everyone goes home! Period, no ifs and or buts. So since I wasn't directly hands on , I had to go and learn what they deal with, thus my training at Anniston Alabama, Cpbra training live agent, and New Mexico Energetic Materials Research Training Center. All the ICS, WMD courses in the world and now I have a library of those manuals. I was Director for five years and in those five years I learned more in two than I did in all my twenty five years in Corporate America. I am now writing and publishing books , interestingly enough, so far, for my fellow First Responders. Working on a new one right now, POOR MANS LOTTO, Memoirs of a Black Firefighter in America. An incredible story. The other one I just fininshed is called One of Thousands A Personal Account of the Days of 911. Pisses me off that the gov't is allowing our First Responders to die from this disease they have contracted from Ground Zero. The author has it and knows his days are probably numbered. So I am waiting for the opportunity to challenge the gov't on this. Cause that's who I am, and that's what I do. Was in a big lawsuit against Texaco Inc, wrote a book about that also, Black to the Future From the Plantation to the Corporation. Sorry to drop so much on you so soon. Hope you don't mind, just passionate about stuff like this.
