Hey, Judy... hope you made it home and were able to crash for a few hours on Sunday! If you need anything, give me a holler. May be able to help, may not be able to help, but I'm willing to do what I can. Take care, be safe, and I'll see you on Oct. 11 and 25th for our fundraisers!!

Stay safe and healthy, Ariel
Hi Judy,
Good to see you here too!
Please tell Shawn that the computer is fixed. Supposedly there were so many viruses on it that it was eating away at itself. It now has virus protection on it that will run automatically. There is also an extra one for the other computer.
Thanks, Ariel
Hey, Judy. Again, may I say how very MUCH I enjoyed the refreshments last night?!?! That really hit the spot; I didn't get a chance to eat lunch, and I was STARVING. Yes, I know. I repeat repeat repeat frequently. I did mention that I frequently repeat? ANYway. What was the link you mentioned last night? I'm tickled to death about our new airpacks. Will be nice to know we don't have to wrestle with those Scott "elephant-trunk" packs and masks. I'll have to make sure I practice with it a couple of times... but again, I'm tickled to death that I can finally SEE while I'm wearing a mask. Well... I'm at work today, hoping to get off on time (7 pm) so I might make it to training/maintenance night. For now... be safe doing all that driving to and from places. When is the bloodmobile coming back to town? Talk to you later!

Hey, Judy, Jill Turner at work showed me this site, and I thought it looked pretty cool. Nice place to network, meet new people... kind of makes you feel like it is a big brotherhood. Just got on it today. Yes, I should be at the fire meeting on Wednesday. I'm off... as of right now... so unless I forget (grin) I should be there.
Welcome to the Firefighter Nation. In addition to the relatively cool videos and fire scene photos, there are numerous groups, discussions and chat available.
If you have never had the opportunity, take a minute to explore firefighterclosecalls.com and the secret list. This is a wonderful web site to explore and learn from the mistakes of others. It is also, sadly, a roll call of those whom have made the ultimate sacrifice, in their service to their communities.
We have all joined the Public Safety Community for a variety of our personal reasons. Some of us are paid, while others volunteer. Many are firefighters, while others enjoy the EMS side of the house. We have active firefighters, line officers, chiefs, administrative officers, and a number of old timers who have seen most of the mistakes already made at least once. We have firefighters with many many years of experience, and others that, well, don’t. All are welcome here in The Nation. We welcome your input, just as we hope that you learn from the experiences of others.
Personally, I have 31 years service to the local fire department. I have held most line officer positions, and some administrative as well. Now part of the Old Guard so to speak, I am less inclined to go charging into where others are trying to escape. Instead, I choose to monitor the fire scene closely, attempting to ensure the safety of all on the fire scene.
I welcome you to the FFN. Here we all share one common goal.....
