Okay guys so here goes. I'm a volunteer firefighter out of MoCo, MD and I'm doing a master degree on 911 Telecommunications Upgrades. As a career, I'm an engineer and after the AZ tragedy I got to working on this idea. (See picture). It's an industrial strength positive pressure system. In theory, it is supposed to combat a wildfire system by using powerful fans to blow it back against its burn path and even blow it out. It's just a concept and I want to see what you guys think. I'm thick skinned and this is about saving lives so don't hold back and don't leave anything to chance. Your input means everything here. For a more detailed write up on the system, implementation strategies, etc. visit my Facebook page on the subject: www.facebook.com/wildfiresolution and thanks so much for your support in this effort to address a consistent national/global problem for our fire service personnel and the community at large.

Sincerely,

FFII Andrew Gantt

The pictured design is a large-scale positive pressure burn control system.

Each tower is designed to incorporate 2 – 10 positive pressure fans and be as tall as an average tree in the wildfire system that is being combatted.

Towers are steel cable-embedded into the ground to minimize tower movement.

Towers are powered by a portable generator unit that provides electric power from a safe distance via electric cabling.

When the system is activated, fans pull air through the conduit and blow it out onto the wildfire, pushing it back upon itself.

This Positive Pressure Tower System is designed to work in conjunction with both ground and aerial combat strategies.

System implementation requires strategic landscape placement in order to maximize burn control and minimize burn proliferation.

It is suggested that personnel position a hoseline for each tower with minimum 500 gallon tank capacity per line.
