Well yesterday My wife had to head out to Pa cause her grandma wasn't doing real well, This morning she had texted me and said she had passed away. I got to talk to her later today and she says all is well, I am guessing from what she had said, her grandma was in her 80's and was failing health wise. Rest in Peace Grandma.

I am now hoping the next few days go by fast, as I had to stay behind and continue working while she went to PA, I am very lucky that she understands and was never upset… Continue

What a Night my last medic shift was right in the middle of a level I snow emergency in Montgomery County Ohio. Sorry I haven't been on in a few days I have been busy around the house and trying to stay busy with the Department (Which has been slow, but is good and bad, good cause noone is having problems , bad cause I don't make any pay) It has been a rough couple of days trying to get everything in order for the holidays. I just turned in my clinical book for assessments for medics class No one was there so I do not know what the next step is. I was supposed to have 10 by the end of the quarter and only had 3, but had an extension til today and only had gotten 3 more. According to the instructor It will be an incomplete. I was just wondering if anyone else goes on the local news websites and copies and pastes any articles from calls they were on and saves them. Every fire call we are on and the news crews show up usually the next day I go through and save the articles on my computer, I know that sounds wierd doing that and of course I have been called(jokingly though) a freak and such LOL. WOW we had another incident, a structure fire in an office warehouse that houses electronic bingo games. The call went out as a burglar alarm at around 3 AM and once the Sheriffs got there they were calling it fire thru the roof working structure fire. My Engine (45) was first on scene after the battallion, and was told to check the roof and verify whether it was thru or just a roof fire. we laddered the roof and it appeared to have burnt thru. Training got messed up last night due to a bad call, We got sent out at a little after 1800 hrs for fatal auto accident, not a good way to start the night. We actually ended up going on 3 MVC's before things let up, all due to the weather here in the Dayton area. This past weekend our area had some strange dispatching going on that kinda like mad a few of us on the engine wonder, there was a call for a choking at a fastfood restaurant in our district but they only called the medic for it, now granted they said they were breathing and it is our policy that it is dispatcher discreation on who they send, but what was crazy about it was later they sent us to a call and all it said was for a bleed, we get there and the person basicly only stubbed thier toe… Continue

Sorry I wasn't on more this weekend, this was a crew weekend which meant I had to be ready all weekend (Vollie), and then I really haven't been in a good mood all weekend. Just alot going on and quite frankly to damn slow on the calls, which believe it or not is what usually kicks me out of a blue funk. But I do try to get on here to wish all my Brothers and Sisters to be safe. This mood will pass in time and I will be in a better mood soon.
