i have my first official training tonight in which i will recieve my first official certificate. IM SO EXCITED. its a 4 hour class on Accountability. YAY. Yes i am new to the fire company, ive only been there for 3 months but I LOVE EVERY MINUTE OF IT!!!

Just wanted to share my excitement!

I took some time off this week to head to Atlanta with the family; my wife had work to do and I got to spend some time with my daughters. While there, I got a chance to go to the new World of Coke museum, the Georgia Aquarium, and the Children's Museum which were all within walking distance of where we were staying, downtown right off of Centennial Park.

The other night we made a stucture fire at what we thought was a single story wood frame. Fire was visible from one window on the "D" side of the structure. Had to work last night. The Monroeville Fire Department was dispatched to my own neighborhood for a elderly gentlemen who had wandered away from home. Temperatures were in the the single digits, as is most of the east coast right now.
