Job Function: Secretary / Treasurer, Firefighter, Other Emergency Services Staff

Why I Joined Fire/EMS: I became a firefighter because I will help anyone in a crisis. I enjoy the variety of duties, the gratitude/respect you are shown for your service, and of course the adrenaline boost you get when a call comes in. I like the challenge.

I'm Officier, i have 27 Firefighers years and i working with a women's for attack fire. i can say that: the women are a positive "élement" in difficults situations with me when there are a childrens or critical situation with particularity rescue. I think work Firefigther is a job for men and women. You must believe in you and all is't OK. Remember star wars "the force with be you".

I am a full time paid firefighter/ medic, scuba diver also and many more certificates in Alabama for the last 15 years. I am the paid apparatus operator in a bad and busy section of our city. I really do take alot of pride in this job, it is good to know we sisters are strong and brave, we have guys at our department who are still from the old school about women on this job. We women are here to stay and hope more of us who can do the job join us. Hope to keep in touch, me and another female firefighter are headed back to Nevada for a Flamable Liquid firefighting class, join us, it's a all paid trip from the Federal grant.
