Why I Joined Fire/EMS

I joined the fire department in Charlottetown, Pei, Canada because it was a way for me to get involved within the community and to make a difference. It also didn't hurt that honestly i was entranced by the movie backdraft, but have come to realize that real fire fighting is tougher then what the movies portray them to be and i believe that i can make a difference.
