About Me:
I am a 23 year old graduate of Saint Francis University. I have my Master of Physician Assistant Sciences (MPAS). I take my boards on June 18th 2009. I have run with the New Florence Vol Fire Co for 9 years. I also pick up shifts at the Laurel Valley Ambulance service. Being a part of the fire service has been one of the most rewarding and fullfilling parts of my life.

Why I Joined Fire/EMS
I have been around the fire service my entire life. My father and grandfather are firefighters. I also wanted to help people, this is the primary reason for my membership
Why I Love Fire/EMS
I love helping people and the way it makes me feel.
Top Issues Facing Responders:
I believe the top issues facing small volunteer responders is a limited budget and equipment that is not up to current standards.
Thank God after 3 years of "dear johns" and "sorry about your lucks" we received a much needed grant from the Feds. We received approx 86,000 dollars for Operations and Firefighter Safety for new SCBA. Ours where in dire need of replacement. This is a great addition to our personal protection. We received a grant in 2005 for 25 new sets of turnouts, helmets, boots and hoods. I am extremely pleased that we as a department can finally provide a proper, safe full PPE ensemble for our firefighters.… Continue
